The Ultimate Blog Party at Five Minutes for Mom
The time has come y'all for the party of the year...over at 5 minutes for Mom (awesome site, check it out!) It's a great and fun way to "meet" new friends and get to know each other a little bit better. Blogging helps the world get smaller and smaller and who wouldn't like more godly galfriends?! :)
A little bit bout me...I am just a girl, desiring to enjoy each day of life that God blesses me with as a "lil slice o'heaven". The best thing about my life is that I am a child of God Almighty...He has loved me with an everlasting love, drawn me to Himself, bought me with a high price and made me His own! I am perfectly loved and perfectly accepted because of Christ's death on the cross...I am forgiven and washed clean!!
I am a SAHM and nothing thrills me more than devoting myself to being "Wife" and "Mom"! My heart belongs to the love of my life, Joel and we've been married for 7 1/2 wonderful years now. For most of our married life, we worked with a mission organization called New Tribes Mission and served overseas in Madang, Papua New Guinea. We were there for 1 1/2 years and loved every minute of it...God linked us up with lovely New Guinean friends that we considered family, they still hold a piece of our heart. In December '05 God brought us back home and we've started new lives from scratch! We've had many ups and downs the past year+ but one thing has remained the same...GOD IS FAITHFUL, we have much to give thanks for! And we believe by faith that He has a good future, full of hope planned for us and we can't wait to see what He holds in store!
God has blessed us with 2 amazing cherubs, Alex and Chloe...they fill up our hearts and we overflow with thankfulness to God for the gifts they are to us! We are so privileged to call them "ours"...precious treasures on loan to us for a season. Alex is 5 years old...he is a newborn child of the King, "Kindergartener", brave protector, talented artist, Awana Sparkie, and fills the requirement for being 100% boy and very accident-prone! :) Chloe is 3 years old...she is the bright spot of our days, our inspiration, also an artist (in her own right), my sidekick, resident comedian (she never fails to crack us up with her faces or sayings), Mama's helper, and an adoring sister. Joel and I would be lost without these two...parenting is the toughest and highest calling on our lives. We wouldn't trade it for the world!! :)
So, that's me and us in a "nutshell"! I'm thrilled to meet you if your new...and I'm thrilled to say Hello again if you're old, I mean a regular! ;) Have a fantastic and blessed day!!

"Parenting is the toughest and highest calling on our lives." Couldn't agree with you more! Sing it sista!
Thanks for the nice welcome, it's nice to "meet you!" I'm having the best time doing a little party-hopping; we are snowbound today in Minnesota after getting 20 inches of snow during 24 hours! No school...so 9th grader is home...bored! But not me! I'm having a party here at my laptop.
Stop by to visit when you get a chance...see you again this week!
Diane
You definitely sound blessed to have your family they sound lovely! Came by through the blog party and thought I'd say hi!
Nice to meet you! Linking past posts into your introduction is a fab idea...I'm going back to tweak mine!
Nice to meet you! Parenting....agh! This is my biggest struggle in life, but I suppose there is always something in life that will keep me dependent on the Lord! 'Cause there is NO WAY I can do this on my own. I joke with friends saying that we are not saving for our children's college but for their therapy (they are sooo going to need it by the time they move out!) :)
Anyway, just stopping by, you know, doing the party rounds!
Hey Kari! Checking in for the party. Thanks so much for opening my door to the wide world of blogging. Although I definitley need to work on the whole balancing thing because now I am addicted. Hope all is well and keep partying!
Melissa
So nice to meet you. I am aware of New Tribes. My Butler is a pastor (missions and ministries). We love reading about folks who are doin' for the Lord. God bless you and yours!
Hey Kate, thanks for stopping by the House o' Glamour. I've enjoyed visiting with you and your beautiful family. I'll be back to visit again soon...I like your style and your beliefs! I think that I'm going to do a post on digital scrapbooking for the many who have said that they've wanted to, but don't know how or where to start. Check back for that post later in the week. Have a glorious weekend!
Stoppin by to say Hi !!!
PARTY ON!
Linda
Wow, we have friends who served in New Guinea. The island they served on was Vanu Atu. (Hope I spelled that right.) My son hopes to be a missionary aviator some day. We will see, it is obvious God has called him to serve. For now we are praying and preparing... as much as we can on his behalf.
Fun to read about your family. I look forward to coming back and visiting more later.
Blessings and Shalom, Kim
I've got the groove....

A friend of mine here (http://pattonfamilymusings.blogspot.com/ )has all her kids in Awana, they love it.
Just dropped in too party a bit!
Back again! Thanks for visiting my bloggy home. To answer your Q's about my friend in PNG, the husband worked with Folopa people in 1995 with Wycliffe and they just recently got their New Testament! Praise God!
They are based in Ukarumpa but are serving right now in a Wantoat village. They are working on conducting more transfer literacy courses, doing some linguistic work to help publish a Wantoat dictionary and continueing the work of recording Wantoat Scripture stories onto cassette.
They are due for furlough in June.
Just dropping in from the blog party! Thanks for letting me check out your page.
