Chloe update

I thought it was about time I wrote about what was going on with our Chloe-girl. It's been a very long process and honestly, kinda discouraging. Chloe had a successful surgery Dec. 1 and had about 1 month for recovery. She had a new prosthetic leg made but we are still in the process of getting the fit right. At first she walked in the new leg with a limp and could only walk on the tip of the prosthetic toes. After several adjustments, we thought we had a determination as to why she was not walking smoothly. However, she just had an appt. for another adjustment and after a day of walking and limping with the new leg...she has taken it off once again and went back to her old prosthesis. We are at a loss and are so frustrated for her. It is times like these that we are once again in a position of humility, calling out to our heavenly Father who we believe is the Blessed Controller of all things and loves Chloe more than we ever could! So, I guess I'm just asking for your prayers...no, it's not a life and death situation but important nonetheless for our active and energetic little girl to be able to run and play normally. I'll keep y'all posted...thanks!

Trying on the new leg...this is the guy who has been working with Chloe for 1.5 yrs. We're so grateful for Real Life...they even do mission trips to South America and work to fit amputees down there with whatever prosthesis they need!

When Chloe has an appt...you'll find her strutting her stuff on the "walkway". This helps them get a good idea of her gait and she can watch herself in the mirror too! :)

Always gonna be Papa's girl...

Man. I hate that she is still having trouble! I will definitely be praying for that little Blooming Joy of yours! And for wisdom of the doctors helping fit her leg in her new prosthetic.

Blessings~

Chloe is adorable! Of course, I will join you in prayer for your precious daughter. As a mom, I'm sure you hate for Chloe to go through all of this but she will adjust; I just know it. Please know that I will be praying for your family.

Thanks for the update Kar! After seeing you guys last year and realizing that this is still a day to day issue, we will really be praying Choloe can get a leg that fits HER leg! We miss you guys! Tell Joel Micah just started getting some time off and really wants to be able to talk in the next few weeks.
