Happy Labor Day!

Hope y'all have a wonderful holiday celebrating and relaxing with your families!!

The funny and ever clever Shannon has a fun little meme going on over at her place and I thought I would join in!  Cause you KNOW women ALWAYS love to talk 'Labor Stories'!  :)

**In honor of Labor Day, it's about...well, labor. And not the kind you get a day off for, either.**

How long were your labors?

Kid #1,  4 hours.
Kid #2,  4 hours...would have been awholeheckofalot faster if they hadn't filled my bladder up with fluid and not told me to go potty!!!  I'm not bitter or anything.  ;)

How did you know you were in labor?

Kid #1,  I woke up with a start in the middle of the night doubled over with contractions!
Kid #2,  My braxton hicks contractions continued and my belly was rock hard.

Where did you deliver?

Kid #1,  hospital in Ontario, Canada (where they believe that epidurals are ONLY for emergencies!)
Kids #2,  hospital in Baltimore, MD

Drugs?

Kid #1,  See above...they gave me Fentinol --enough to dull the sensation to push but not enough to dull the pain.
Kid #2,  NOTHING.NADDA.ZIP.ALNATURALE.

C-section?

Nope, natural deliveries for both thank goodness!

Who delivered?

Kid #1,  Dr. Streeeetch.  I am soooo not kidding!
Kid #2,  Dr. Ritter...she rocked!!  :)

If you want to play along with this meme, just cut and paste the questions into your own blog, head over to Shannon's and leave your link there.

And you Gulf Coasters stay safe. We're praying for you.**

I love the picture lol. I remember when I was going in to get an ultra sound and they told me to drink 24oz of water before I came in so my bladder would be full. So by the time I got there I felt like I was going to explode, then I had to wait. Finally I got up and said, "look if you can't get me in in about 2 mins. I'm going to pee all over your floor lol." The lady said to me that I should go let out a little bit. I said if I sit down it's all coming out cause there ain't no stopping it once it's started. Needless to say they got me right in ha ha!
Blessings to you!

Sounds like exciting births! Thanks for sharing! I am due in less than 4 weeks and have had fun reading all these stories thanks to RIMD. My friends are leaving advice for me on our blog this week if you'd like to stop by and share some words of wisdom! :)
