Soccer Boy

Alex finally got to PLAY Soccer for the 1st time ever this past Saturday!  It was a beautiful warm and sunshiney day...he was one thrilled little boy!  :)  It's a really neat program called Upward and it is put on by a local church.  They emphasize teamwork, good attitudes and even work on verses together each week.  We thought it would be a great way to start Alex off and see how he likes playing soccer and a plus is a great environment.

My dad, Chloe and I went with him and cheered him on...here are some picts taken from my *sigh* little point and shoot *sigh* !

Gotta streeeetch those muscles!  :)

There's the line up...a BUNCH of kids came out for it!

That is Alex in the smack middle running drills --
dribbling the ball around the cones...

Still at it...

Running over for a drink...you KNOW I can't get that guy to stand still for a photo op!!

Me and my girl hanging out together...
I'm sporting the "Saturday look"!  :D

Chloe got in on the action, playing with G-dad!

So of course, Chloe was sad she was too young to play...maybe next year!  :)

So glad Alex was finally able to hit the soccer field -- I know he was READY! I wish our church did Upward -- that's an awesome program!! Happy day, friend.

Your kids are adorable! I used to play soccer once upon a time.:) It's nice to meet you too! Thank you for the compliments on my blog design. She really does great work and is pleasant to work with. I am liking the camera immensely but I'm still learning all the tricks to it. I need to get a better lens and I'm hoping I'll get one by Christmas. I got mine through Amazon for $699 with the basic lens and of course no classes on it. Classes would have been nice! I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well.
