As most of you know it's that lovely time of the year...no, not fall I mean yes, it is fall but that's not what I'm talking about. It's FLU season...oh just the very words could give you the aches, chills and headache! As for my present place of work ~ the good Dr. B's office...let's just say we're popping every living human being 6 months and up!
Oh it's fun...SOO fun that they are training lil' ol' me to do flu SHOTS. Yep, that's me...in the office...with a needle. What?? What's that face for?? You mean you wouldn't let your little one be vaccinated by a rookie? Shoot. I'm good ya know for someone who's only be working there for 4 months. I'm steady too...promise. I've given a couple so far and everyone still has the use of their limbs and there was NO blood even!!
And today, today they let me give an allergy shot. Yah, I'm all cool and stuff giving shots subqutaneously and all. The girl didn't even flinch...or fall over...or go into anaphylactic shock!!! Whoot, I totally rock!
I know, pretty pathetic I have to toot my own horn but you know...I'm desperate.
Sooo, when can I schedule you an appointment??!! :D

sign me up... NOT! Sorry the thought of my sister shooting me gives me the willies. I'm afraid I'd dislike you for a LOONG time! :)
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
And you are still there??! I am proud of you, but no way will I be scheduling an appointment....but thanks for asking.:]
lol. I'd so let you give me mine, but with the price of plane tickets today....
My dad, who gives IV's/shots everyday gave me one ONCE and of all the times, he hit my bone and I had the biggest, most painful lump in my arm for WEEKS! LOL. I joke with him about it to this day :)
Love you Friend!!!
shhhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone.. I work in a hospital ( very part-time) and I don't get them.. and I'm in the PHARMACY!! I'm bad... but my chiro SWEARS NOT to get them.. not that I'm listening to him.. I just don't get them...
I bet you're doing a FABULOUS job though!!!
I don't like when I have to x-ray kids b/c they get scared. I can't imagine having to stick them with a needle! Good luck with that!
I'd let you. LOL! I had to learn to give myself insulin shots when I was pregnant, so I'm over the needle phobia thing.
i got sidetracked by the word "subqutaneously"...
and you should know i HATE needles!
I am jealous of you. They were going to teach me, but then the state said NO WAY! So, I was resigned to not giving shots.
Enjoy...and I really do think you should get your sister in the chair!!
