Doing the Happy Dance

American Idol the Finale!!

It was a fun filled and interesting 2 hours to say the least.  I really enjoyed watching while crossing my fingers ten different ways.  But did anyone think that the choices in "Star Singers" was a little odd?  I mean, Donna Summers, ZZ Top and George Michael??  Weird.  However Seal, Jordan Sparks and Carrie Underwood anyone think that her song was a little beneath her? were very cool!  It was super fun seeing my old favs back like Michael Johns, Brooke White and Carly Smithson back on stage...they looked great didn't they?!  One more thing, WHY do they wait until the last flipping 5 minutes to reveal the winner??  What is up with that?!

So I have to admit that I really thought David Archuletta had it in the bag for the win.  And for once I think I would have been ok if he won, because he is just wicked sweet and has an awesome voice.  That said, let's just say when they announced DAVID COOK as THE AMERICAN IDOL...oh yeah, there were some SQUEALS.OF.JOY. heard for miles around.  David Cook was truly a gracious winner and I can't wait to see how his career takes off from here.  Congrats!!

BEST OF THE SEASON...the WINNER, David Cook!!
Can I just say one time, I told ya so??!!  :)

I'm celebrating wit-cha girl. Although my girls were pulling for David Archuleta (who my youngest keeps calling David Pinata) I actually think I heard your scream here in Kansas..... I'm like you, though -- good show, but come on, do we HAVE to stretch the show out for like 7 hours?! My hubby & I were speculating on how old those ZZ Top guys must be by now! They're going to be using walkers soon to get out on stage. Have a GREAT one, friend.

I'll say it again...WOO HOO!

I agree with the Carrie U. statement. I know it's her latest release, but still...that wasn't her best pick to perform!

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hey there! Thanks so much for your excitement about our trip to Ireland; I'm really looking forward to it. :) I'll make sure I visit a castle just for you!

I'm also SO excited that David COOK won last night! It was an incredible evening watching the top 12 come together again and the hoopla of it all. It was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!

I just love David Cook.

Sharon, my son started calling him David Enchilada and it soon became Enchilada boy.

Just thought you would like to know. You're welcome.

I really thought all along that he should win. He has been so great all the way through. At the end there I started hoping little David would win, only because I thought he would benefit from the experience! David C. is already mature enough to go solo...but, in a way, that is probably why David C. won. He has it all. Not to mention he is so darn cute now that he has his new haircut, how can we resist? He's hot. I'll admit it. :-)

Happy day. What in the world are we gonna do now without AI to fill up two nights a week?
